We failed in our quest for a waffle. We rode to Kortijk again because we heard that Tonkin's favorite place for waffles was somewhere in that town. We overlooked the fact that waffles aren't served as a mid-morning snack - Belgies don't eat waffles until about 14:00. And being the early risers we are, Kerry and I were on our bikes by 10.

So, we opted for cappuccinos...which we probably should have waited for Italy for. Oh well, why not try one in both places?
The cappuccino came with a waffle-like cookie, which was kind of like a waffle cone. Oh, and a piece of tasty dark chocolate.
We approved. Bring on the Italian coffee!
Then we did some picture-taking and sight-seeing.And this is a taste of what we saw for sights:

There's this big square of cafe's, restaurants, and bars, all around this statue:In the summer, I bet it is off the wall.

Welp, we leave Izegem to drive to Brussels to catch our flight to Treviso, Italy in about an hour. Catch you in a plate of pasta...
